Michael Stone Rifles A Beauty Past Ducks Goalie John Gibson

Michael Stone had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day the last time the Coyotes took the ice. To make matters worse he was in his hometown of Winnipeg. Woof.

I’m guessing after stewing on things a bit, he resolved to make a serious difference tonight against Anaheim and boy did he.

Three minutes in he scored this beaut. It was an absolute rifle from the point after Kyle Chipchura and co. sustained pressure in the Ducks’ zone. Chips got the puck to Stone and he unleashed a few days of pent up fury on that slab of vulcanized rubber. Demons erased. Coyotes lead 1-0.

It was a pretty good first period for the Yotes, but this story is to be continued.
