Brendan Perlini Scores Hat Trick, Attempts To Learn To Free Kick Like Ronaldo

Sometimes when a young player gets sent back to the AHL or to juniors they can go into a funk. Maybe they feel they were wronged. Maybe instead of honing their craft for the next opportunity, they pout and show no improvement at all.

Not Brendan Perlini.

Last Thursday night, Perlini netted not one, not two, but three goals for the hat trick against the Barrie Colts and a 5-1 Niagara IceDogs victory.

He’s sporting a very solid 5 goals in 5 games, though his IceDogs currently sit next to last in the Eastern Conference of the OHL.

That hasn’t stopped Perlini from pursuing other interests, though:

Trying to figure out @cristiano's free kicks, on a nice afternoon!! 😂👍🏼 #Swerve

It’s not exactly Bend It Like Beckham, but if he can kick anything like he shoots a puck he’ll be alright.
